The Buick Enclave: Your Go To Model for Midsize Luxury

Searching for luxury in a midsize SUV to drive around town or beyond will always lead you to the Buick Enclave. The Enclave is the largest of the three Buick SUVs, providing enough room for as many as eight passengers. The Enclave keeps safety its top priority, and you can trust it to keep you and your family safe. The Enclave has plenty of power from its 3.6-liter V6 engine, yet still manages to get great gas efficiency, helping you minimize your impact on the planet.

What's New on the 2018 Buick Enclave?

The Buick Enclave has been completely redesigned for the 2018 model year. Among the notable features for this all-new midsized crossover are a larger cabin and a brand new V6 engine.

In addition, Buick has released a new trim for the 2018 Enclave: Avenir. The Avenir trim represents the most heavily equipped and feature-laden trim in the Buick lineup. The Avenir version of the Enclave is just the first appearance of the trim in the Buick lineup. Long terms plans are to roll it out across all Buick models and position the Avenir as a sub-brand of the Buick nameplate.

You better believe it! Buick has finally released the long awaited brand new version of the Enclave for the 2018 model year. It's got a sleek new style, more interior room and more premium features. What else would you expect from a luxury brand like Buick?

What are the trim levels on the 2018 Buick Enclave?

You can take your pick from four different trim levels on the 2018 Enclave: Base, Essence, Premium and Avenir. If you don't recognize the Avenir trim, that's because it's all-new for 2018. With the Enclave Avenir, you get all the top of the line features, technology and equipment. It's basically the "super loaded" version of the 2018 Enclave.  Read more.

Buick Enclave History

The 2008 Buick Enclave was the first model year for this midsize luxury SUV. Impressively enough, it managed to replace three different models, including a crossover (the Rendezvous), a minivan (the Terraza), and a truck-based sport utility vehicle (the Rainier). The first Enclave was first available with seating for seven or eight passengers, and the choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. It was 8 inches longer than its predecessor, the Rainier, and ran on a 3.6-liter V6 with direct injection and 275 horsepower. This engine was adjusted slightly to generate 288 horsepower in 2009. Even the base model of the Enclave in 2008 came standard with tri-zone climate control, xenon headlights, and a power liftgate.

The Enclave then got a minor facelift in 2013 in the form of a new grille and some LEDs for the daytime running lights and taillights. The suspension was also retuned, and the dashboard was redesigned with a rear camera system on all models plus the IntelliLink infotainment system. This model also got blue ambient lighting and additional soft-touch materials, chrome accents, and wood accents to help elevate its feel. It also introduced a front center airbag, an industry first, as well as available blind-spot monitor.
